The Allen County Recorder's Office preserves many of the community's most important
records, ranging from home mortgages and neighborhood covenants to
business names and military discharge documents. Our dedicated
staff is committed to providing you with fast and accurate
assistance with your recording and searching needs.
Most documents are recorded within 24 hours
and our turnaround time is approximately one week. In 2008, the
recorder's office handled more than 60,000
documents and returned almost $1 million in user fees to the Allen
County general fund, money that supplements property taxes to
help pay for local government.
