Recorder's Office Will Remain In the City-County Building

While many offices are on the move to Citizens' Square, the Allen County Recorder's Office is staying put.

(May 26, 2011) – While many Fort Wayne and Allen County offices are on the move to Citizens' Square as part of the co-location of local government fucntions, the Allen County Recorder's Office is staying put.

The Recorder's Office will remain on the first floor of the City-County Building, along with the Auditor's and Treasurer's Offices.  The Recorder's Office is located in Room 100 and will stay there even as public safety departments move into other parts of the City-County Building.

There is a possibility that security screenings will be put in place at the first floor entrances in the future, overall access to the Recorder, Auditor and Treasurer's Offices is not expected to change.

In 2009, the Recorder's Office moved to its current location from a space on the second floor now occupied by the Allen County Assessor's Office.
