(June 3, 2009) – The Allen County Recorder’s Office will be
moving on Friday, June 12, 2009.
The recorder’s office will be relocating to Room 100 on the
first floor of the City-County Building, in a space formerly
occupied by the Allen County Treasurer’s Office.
During the day on Friday, June 12, recorder’s office customers
will experience some inconvenience. Recording will be offline
until afternoon at the earliest and onsite computer searching
will likely be offline all day. At various times during the
move, telephones may ring into voice mail.
“The restoration of customer service functions is our highest
priority on moving day, but some disruption will be
unavoidable,” said Allen County Recorder John McGauley. “We
encourage our customers to plan ahead and get as much of their
business done as possible before or after June 12.”
Online searching will not be affected by the relocation.
Document recording and searching is expected to resume as normal
on Monday June 15.
